(Evening prayer communication)

Father, before I head off to sleep, I just want to thank you for a beautiful day today.

I basked in your blessings and favor...and the dark forces were kept afar, although they tried to infiltrate my life...they failed to take away my joyful bliss...

You remained a shield that protected my connection to you Lord...

You've listened to my sincere heart, and you blessed it today...no enemies ever showed up, even as far as the horizon...you kept them at a distance.

I thank you for that Lord...

Without my knowing, you had arranged in advance the dispersal of my adversaries, whoever they may be (physical, spiritual, psychological)...

They have fallen into their own traps of deceit and evil plots...

You have taken action behind the scenes Lord, much to my amazement and gratitude...

You've delievered me Father from all evil with your powerful hand...

I hope that the world finds the same contact as I have with you Lord, in Jesus' (our liberator) name...

Good night Lord. Talk again tomorrow.

Lord Father God, I'm feeling good today, thanks to you.

I'm feeling good because of my expectation that you are pouring blessings and favor into my life and into those who I love...

I also remain in hopeful expectation that the rest of the world will turn to you for the same blessings that we in Christ enjoy...

I am aware Father that in spite of the blessings that I enjoy from you, the dark forces will continue to try to disconnect  me from your love by setting up circumstances to break me away from you...

The enemies who are knowingly or unknowingly inspired by the dark prince (Satan) continue to plot against me...the enemies can either be random circumstances designed to unbalance my life or actual persons...

Either way, the objective is the same: to keep me away from enjoying your miracles in my life.

But I know Father, in spite of my occassional doubts, that you shield me...

I know Lord that you are listening to my sincere heart, and you do answer me in your own way that best suits me...

With this hope and expectation I go to sleep at night, and with the same expectation I wake up knowing that you are with me...

I will no longer be afraid of any of my enemies who are poised to strike against me in thought,word, or deed, because you are my defender Lord. You strike back at my enemies, destroying them, neutralizing their plans...you even make them fall into their own traps that they set against me.

I have seen your works in action, and I am both amazed and grateful...

I know that you deliver me (and continue to deliver) from all evil with your awesome blessings Lord.

Good morning Lord!

Here I am Lord...once again, like a kid in a candy store, gazing on all the good things you provide for me.

I woke up this morning to a new day and new challenges to deal with.

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to be alive...to shine bright as a full-blooming flower under the sun...

Equally grateful is to be talking with you...and anticipating great expectations, like a kid expecting to get a new toy...

I can't express enough my excitement for communicating with you this morning Lord!

I know I will have challenges today; maybe people who may conspire against me in thought, word, or deed. They may rise up against me in their arrogance as they plot against me...knowingly or unknowingly.

Circumstances are arranged to tempt, to distract me from my course...

But I know God that you are amused at this folly, their self-absorbed pride and self proclaimed greatness.

Their self-proclaimed glory is only but a moment...no one is great forever; earthly greatness lasts but only but a moment...

And a moment later, it is gone, forgotten.

Lord, this a lesson for all of us: that our self-absorbed greatness is only momentary, fleeting.

But your love and support for us is the true treasure that lasts beyond a lifetime...

I realize it this as I set to make inroads in my life today.

I set my sights on you as I gaze with expectation for your blessings as I take refuge in you.

Introduction (just a small one)

Let's start our communication to God the way He really wants us to.

Let's make it personal.

Let's communicate as if God stood in front of us right now.

How would you talk to God if he stood in front you right now (or if he was sitting on the couch next to you, or sitting across the dining table, or across from your desk at work...)?

As an authority figure, you'd probably talk to Him with a bit of apprehension, not sure if He is actually going to listen to you, right?

After all, He is God, and you are not...

As a person seeking out the Lord, Jesus (our freedom-fighter, in case you didn't realize it) says that not only does God listen, but He is actually waiting for your communication!

Yes, God waits to hear from you, as a father expecting communication from his son/daughter!

He's not going to force you:

• you do so freely, as a free person
• neither wants you to be forced by anyone or any system of religion
•  He waits for a heartfelt communication, as demonstrated by a young man called Jesus.
• No "bells or whistles" just say it from the heart as you would confide to a good friend...

Let's start:

"Father, I know you are expecting contact from me, so here I am...
Lord, come into my heart as you did with Jesus when he prayed to you.

Set me free from the challenges of the world; I know I will face plenty of them today, but I also know that I am blessed for knowing that you are listening to me, sensing the desire of my beating heart to live a life of inner peace while I take on the challenges of the world...

I know I am blessed and I walk in wisdom when you are watching over me; I shall journey into the world knowing that you walk with me, nourishing me like a tree planted by a stream, always being nourished by your living Spirit.

My challenges (and my 'challengers') have been pushed aside by you Lord, my journey flourishes. Inexplicably my journey prospers because your Hand is upon it.

My streets are no longer narrow, but broad. You've opened up a huge path before me; the obstacles are brushed aside, my enemies stand on the sidelines baffled by my progress...

But my mind is not on pride from my victories, no; instead, I express my gratitude toward you Lord for opening my heart, and letting me into your Spirit-filled love, as a loving father to His son/daughter..."
